Datathon 2022 | BTK Academy, Google, Entrepreneurship Foundation and Personal Data Protection Authority As Academy Club, we participated in the Data Science-Datathon process, the second phase of Datathon 2022, which we organized together with Academy Club, with our training curriculum and expert instructor staff.
For Datathon 2022, BTK Academy provided various trainings on topics such as statistics, data science, data analysis, big data, machine learning, deep learning, python programming through its online training portal. Kaggle.com Data Science-Datathon 2022 was organized.
Through the BTK Academy online training portal, all registered students are offered various trainings on topics such as statistics, data science, data analysis, big data, machine learning, deep learning, python programming. We organized the 2022 Datathon in cooperation with Google, Girvak and KVKK for participants who received these trainings and want to enter the field of data science.
The first leg of Datathon 2022 was a 3-week workshop on data science, machine learning and big data. This workshop was broadcast live on YouTube and was planned to be suitable for participants to re-watch and practice. A Data Competition, Datathon, was organized to enable both workshop participants and those who had previously completed the relevant trainings through the BTK Academy to gain the ability to practice all their theoretical knowledge.
During Datathon 2022, it was aimed to put all the knowledge learned in data science into practice and contribute to your experience by simulating the problems that may arise in business life.

BTK Academy
It was established in 2017 under the leadership of Dr. Ömer Fatih Sayan, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, in order to create a pioneering, well-known, reliable and reputable training center that will contribute to our institution, the sector and our country with the scientific, technological and constantly self-renewing training approach of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA).
BTK Academy aims to transfer the experience of our Agency in the electronic communications sector since 1983 and its regulatory and supervisory role since 2000 to all its stakeholders, and to contribute to increasing the competent human resources needed by the sector through certification trainings.
The programs carried out within the ICTA Academy are prepared with the cooperation and contributions of our expert internal trainers as well as public institutions and organizations, universities and all other national and international stakeholders.

Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation (GİRVAK)
About
The Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation was founded in 2014 by 25 founders under the leadership of Sina Afra with the aim of spreading the entrepreneurship culture, enabling university youth to discover the entrepreneurial spirit and inspiring them with a long-term mindset.
The foundation supports young people through its Youth Programs and disseminates the entrepreneurship culture in different segments of society through impact programs that address different areas. Personal Data Protection Authority
The Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK) is a public institution in Turkey that is authorized and has a supervisory role in the processing and protection of personal data. KVKK deals with the implementation and supervision of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 dated April 7, 2016.
The main purpose of the LPPD is to protect the privacy, security and rights of individuals during the processing of their personal data. In this context, the duties of the organization include:
1-Protecting the Rights of Personal Data Subjects: KVKK secures the rights that individuals have over their personal data. Personal data subjects have the right to know how their data is processed, to request correction or deletion, to learn the persons to whom the data is transferred, and to object to the processing of their data.
2-Determining the Obligations of Data Controllers: The LPPD regulates the personal data processing activities of data controllers (organizations or persons who process data). Data controllers are obliged to ensure that personal data are processed legally, fairly and transparently.
3-Consent and Consent Management: The LPPD sets out the processes for obtaining permission or consent for the processing of personal data. Data controllers cannot process data without obtaining the consent of personal data subjects or without a legal basis.
4-Data Security and Breach Notifications: KVKK requires the necessary measures to be taken to ensure the security of personal data. It also determines the situations where data breaches should be reported and ensures that the authorities are notified in case of breaches.
5-Supervision and Criminal Sanctions: KVKK audits whether data controllers and data processors comply with their obligations. It imposes criminal sanctions on those who act against the law.
6-Awareness Raising and Training: KVKK organizes various activities to raise awareness and train individuals and businesses on personal data protection.
