What is Google Game and App Academy?
Launched in 2021 with the support of Google Turkey, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Digital Transformation Office of the Presidency of the Republic of Turkey, and in collaboration with the Entrepreneurship Foundation and T3 Initiative Center, the Game and Application Academy is a holistic competency building program that supports game development, application software development and the combination of these two fields with entrepreneurship in Turkey. Within the scope of the program, scholarship recipients will gain competencies that they can benefit from throughout their career lives and will be entitled to receive certificates for the trainings they complete.
In addition to game and application development trainings (Flutter, Unity and Game Art), the Turkish Google Project Management Certificate Program on Coursera, basic English training for software developers, law, finance, human resources and basic entrepreneurship trainings for those who want to establish a startup in the field of technology, different experiences are offered for those who want to work in the ICT sector. In addition, sectoral networking trainings, soft skills trainings, career acceleration summits hosted by leading professionals and entrepreneurs are also offered as complementary competencies. Academy scholars will be able to develop their own games or applications through trainings, workshops and a Bootcamp at the end of the program. The Academy is also an innovative community program that focuses on collaboration between individuals and building a strong business network.
