Cyber Security Seminar | Together with Uludağ Exporters’ Associations (UIB Academy), we organized a cyber security seminar for company employees as Academy Club in order to raise cyber security awareness.

In the seminar, participants learned about various types of cyber threats and how to protect themselves from them. We completed the seminar with the content of threats and examples that can be encountered in the online environment.

In the seminar, we raised awareness of the participants about these risks that closely concern both business life and daily life. to bring in more people.

To introduce the phenomenon of cyberspace and the discipline of cyber security
which evolved from information security,

-To reveal the types and basic motives of “hackers”/”cyber hackers” – referred to as “hackers” – the counterparty to Cyber Security,

-To reveal the basic points of being an effective Cyber Security Expert,

-To classify and explain cyber threats / attacks,

-Demonstrate known, current and future threats and attacks,

-To introduce the “defense in depth” approach, which is one of the most fundamental approaches of cyber security, and to convey cyber attackers and the path they follow in a progressive way through the Cyber Kill Chain™.

About

Exporters’ Associations are professional organizations established to contribute to economic development by increasing exports through organizing exporters and improving cooperation. According to regional and sectoral divisions, 61 Exporters’ Associations work in 14 General Secretariats and 27 sectors across Turkey.

The General Secretariat of Uludag Exporters’ Associations was established in Bursa with the two unions within its body in accordance with the Decree of the Council of Ministers in 1986 in order to carry out studies on issues related to foreign trade, in this context; to protect and develop the interests of its members before public institutions and organizations, non-governmental organizations and private sector organizations and national and international organizations within the framework of the interests of the country, and to ensure professional and ethical solidarity among exporters.

Uludağ Exporters’ Associations, which started its activities with 100 members and 3 employees when it was established, has a total of 14,014 active members and 99 employees in 45 provinces of Turkey as of the end of 2022. The General Secretariat of Uludağ Exporters’ Associations, which consists of five separate Associations with a special budget and legal personality, which continue their activities in different sectors under its roof, maintains its position as the second largest association in Turkey with an export value of 32.4 billion dollars in 2022.

Cybersecurity encompasses many different concepts, from information security to operational security to the security of computer systems. Cyber security is the practice of protecting computers, servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks and data from malicious attacks.
This course introduces the basic concepts and aspects of the Cyber Security discipline and presents in detail the current and future perspectives of hackers and the cyber attacks they cause. In addition to these fundamentals, this course also explains more clearly and comprehensively the defense-in-depth approach and theCyber Kill Chain pattern, as well as how attackers conduct cyber attacks and build defenses against them.
Cyber Security Training is a basic security course, but it still requires participants to have certain knowledge such as TCP/IP, networking, and sufficient Linux knowledge before attending the course.
